our recent stay in alphen aan den rijn exceeded all expectations. the friendly owner and centrally located hotel made exploring the area effortless. the clean and comfortable room with excellent wifi and a cozy mattress was the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventures. highly recommended!

Great central location, close to shops, parking, and restaurants. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the cleaning service was done daily. The availability of a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator was a plus. I appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee, and various breakfast items. The host was very attentive and helpful, even going the extra mile to wash a dress that had spilled coffee on it. The location of the room was ideal, being close to the train station and in the center. the view from the terrace overlooking the canal was a nice touch.
The steep and narrow stairs leading to the room could be challenging for those with disabilities or the elderly. the room could get quite hot during warm weather and mosquitoes were plentiful.

Lovely room with beautiful decoration, very clean, excellent Wi-Fi, and comfortable bed. Excellent location: in the center, close to major cities and the coast. Amazing host: Jan Vic, very kind, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

A charming 19th-century building with a lovely sun terrace. The continental breakfast was delightful. And the towels they provided. well, they were towels. I mean, what more could you expect?
I didn't have my own personal towel warmer in the bathroom. How am I supposed to survive without having warm towels at my disposal at all times?
